For this project, the client needed a system to test their new vehicles being introduced to the market. These vehicles would come in and have particular component attached via an adapter that we designed and machined in house. They would then use a mixture of and encoder on the motor shaft, flow direction, metering valves, and sensors to compare the flow rate, rpm, and torque output, ensuring the component is working properly. This project required a ton of time, calculations, procurement, machining, adjusting on the fly, and more to hit the clients timelines. This particular client is trying to be first to market with their product, and therefore did not have a full idea of what they wanted. So being able to change things quickly while still progressing the system was imperative.
